Services Include:

Erosion Control: Compost and mulch filter berms can be used as an alternative to silt fence. Compost blankets can actually prevent erosion from happening! Both can keep pollutants out of surface water better than conventional methods. These compost technologies have been shown to work more effectively than silt fence, is less expensive, is better for vegetation establishment, and recycles products so they are kept out of the landfill! Lawn/Turf Care: Compost can be used when establishing and maintaining lawns. Compost can provide an ALL NATURAL slow release of nutrients that is better for plants, can reduce water requirements and help lawns through drought periods, and make them less susceptible to pests and diseases reducing the need for pesticides!

Landscaping: Compost has many uses for landscape applications including: rapid vegetation establishment, planting beds, backfill for tree plantings, and home gardens!

Gardening: Compost is an essential component to any home gardener. Compost is an organic soil amendment that can conserve water, increase soil structure & aeration, improve plant health to reduce need for pesticides, provide a nutrient source so you can reduce fertilizer use, and is a soil biological inoculant that improves soil health.

Agriculture: Compost may be a farmer's best friend. It can reduce water use, reduce storm runoff, increase water infiltration, improve soil aeration, reduces plant diseases, provides a slow release of nutrients, can protect the soil surface from erosion, and can be applied while a field is already in production. All this means a farmer can save money on irrigation, pest management, and fertilizer applications!

Land Reclamation: Compost is the best soil amendment known. Compost has been used for years to reclamate and regenerate exhausted, compacted, contaminated, and marginal soils. Because any land reclamation project concentrates on improving the soil, compost should be included in every land reclamation project.

Ecological Restoration/Habitat Restoration: When restoring and rebuilding ecosystems, wild areas, forests, wildlife habitats, and wetlands it is essential to concentrate on restoring the biological activity of the soil, raising organic matter levels and soil health/fertility. This will ensure long term growth and re-establishment of native plants and fauna.

Greenhouse: Compost is essential for young saplings, seedlings, and transplants. The correct compost and compost mix is critical when using it with young, tender plants. Compost provides needed moisture and nutrients to aid in germination and give young plants a start, without burning like fertilizers can.
